1.Caffeine

Caffeine is a stimulant popular in our culture for over centuries most people love coffee and caffeinated drinks for its energy boosting properties.Unfortunately for people prone to anxiety caffeine is not beneficial.Caffeine is said to increase anxiety in people prone to it and with anxiety disorders.


2. No sleep

Adults need at least 8 hours of sleep a day.Our brain and body regenerated during this time and rests.Without sleep we are not only tired but can cause our anxiety to increase leading to heart palpitations and other symptoms.Many people show increased level of anxiety due to lack of sleep.


3.Smoking,drinking,drugs

We all love bad things unfortunately for anxiety sufferers these bad things should be decreased and used in moderation especially smoking and drugs since these are highly addictive substances causing many mental problems in the later use.


4.Toxic friendships/relationships

We all seen Disney movies how power of love can overcome anything,But did you know that abusive relationships can increase anxiety and lead to even more anxiety attacks even after the relationships has ended ? Same goes for toxic friends we should choose our circle of friends wisely because sometimes this one bad person can alter and change our mental state,health and well being for the worse.


5.Chronic illness

A lot of people feel anxious and depressed and sometimes we all go through these periods but when that doesn't allow us to have a fulfilling life and disables us we need to take another look.Always go to your doctor and get all blood tests done before committing to antidepressants and anti-anxiety tablets.Sometimes it can be overactive thyroid or another chronic illness causing the anxiety .As many chronic illnesses alter our mental state.
